Based on real events, the film challenges the viewer through a difficult-to-imagine event. When terrorists attack two very young shepherds and behead one of them, 13-year-old Ashraf is forced to carry the severed head of his cousin Nizar to the family as a macabre message. Traumatized and trying not to lose his mind, Ashraf discovers that the ghost of his cousin follows him and seems determined to accompany him in his mourning.
