Jack O'Connell

Biography

Jack O'Connell was a film director, writer and producer. He was an overlooked pioneer of independent cinema, captured the zeitgeist of 60s America with Revolution, his iconic documentary of the San Francisco hippie counter-culture during the Summer of Love, 1967. Jack started out in spending 10 years in advertising. In 1959 he travelled to Italy to learn filmmaking in the spirit of Fellini and Antonioni.
