Biography

Sophie-Thérèse is a bilingual actress of Eastern European and Caribbean ethnicity. Born in Europe, raised in the United States, England and France, she settled in Montreal and studied theater at Concordia. Upon graduation, she was a “Valedictorian” of the Concordia School of Fine Arts and soon after, won a leading role in her first professional play, Blackout: The Concordia Computer Riots - a historic and important play which calls the university back Concordia and the city of Montreal facing the events of the Sir George Williams Affair which took place fifty years ago. Upon leaving Concordia, she set out on her path and experimented in different areas of acting with training (English and French) in dubbing, video games, and on-camera acting. She was selected by Diversité Artistique Montréal (DAM) to participate in the diversity auditions of the Quat-Sous general auditions. In addition, she also enrolled in the Young Creators Unit at the Playwrights Workshop Montreal and wrote a draft of her first play. All this in one year. And did we mention that she has a BAC in Pure Maths? Yes, Sophie-Thérèse had started her journey on a scientific path in England. But the heart, the passion and the creativity within her demanded more - demanded more even. So, here she is now in Montreal, with her second degree on the line, beginning her life as an actress and artist.
