Biography

Kevin Rafferty is an American Visual Effects Supervisor. He holds a Bachelor of Art degree from Sandford University and Master's degree in Architecture from UCLA. In 1982, he began his career in Visual Effects at Digital Productions, where he worked on the film The Last Starfighter. Starting in 1990, Rafferty worked as a Senior Animator at Pacific Data Images, where he contributed to nine major films including Cliffhanger and Batman Returns. He then joined Industrial Light + Magic where he worked on films such as Star Wars: Episode One, The Perfect Storm, Jurassic Park: The Lost World and Dragonheart. In early 2001, Rafferty was enlisted by Dreamworks Animation to design, implement and oversee the computer graphics used to create the feature film Shark Tale.
