  • Place of birth: New York City, New York

Biography

Eva-Marie was born in New York City to an American mother and Swiss-German father. Early on, the family moved to Vaud, Switzerland where she spent the majority of her youth. She began acting on stage at the age of 15 in Geneva before being accepted to the Gymnase Auguste-Piccard in Lausanne due to her skills as a pianist. After spending the summers commuting to the UK to study first at Sylvia Young Theatre School and then The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, she moved permanently at 17 to study Biological Sciences at University College London. There she was scouted by her first modeling agency and also started working professionally as a film actress, securing her first screen role in The Circle (2017) as Claire. She later graduated with a degree in Zoology and returned to pursue acting with a newly-won place at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama under the tutelage of Amanda Brennan. Since graduating from drama school in 2017 she has continued working consistently in film, both in front of and behind the camera. Her love of film prompted her to explore all aspects of her industry, working in between acting jobs as an art director for projects such as Outsiders (2021) (dir. Grace Parry) and Sucker (2022) (dir. Alix Austin) or in production with directors such as Regan Hall and Pedro Allevato. She also writes spoken word and classically-influenced poetry, with several of her pieces published in recognized journals. She received an acting nomination at the BAMV Fest 2021 for her work in the music video OMEN (artist David Lindmer) which will be screened at the iconic South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas as a part of its 2022 program.
