John G. Boehme identifies as a cisgender white male of German and Scottish heritage currently living in Victoria, BC, the Lekwungen-speaking territory of the Esquimalt, Songhees peoples. Boehme describes his recent work as "trans-disciplinary” often integrating performance, video, audio and objects and not constrained by any specific approaches in its realization. Boehme has exhibited, screened, participated and performed in festivals across Canada, Australia, the Americas, the United Kingdom, Europe and China. He is faculty in the Visual Arts Department at Camosun College.
