Biography

Geoff McLean is an Academy and Grammy nominated filmmaker having produced 2 award-winning feature documentaries; This is Congo (2017), which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and Hondros (2017), which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. Both films circled the globe on the festival circuit, receiving critical acclaim, and were sold domestically and internationally. His latest short film Audible (2021), which premiered at Hot Docs in Toronto, was nominated for an Oscar in 2022 and continues to stream worldwide on Netflix. He is currently producing a feature documentary exploring the complexities of the rapidly evolving EV industry, while heading up commercial divisions as Executive Producer for both Vision Film Company, which he founded in 2012, and Golden LA; a Venice-based, multi-disciplinary studio. In 2016 Geoff McLean co-founded Basecamp Resorts; Western Canada's fastest growing hospitality brand with 12 boutique hotels operating across the Canadian Rockies. As the company continues to expand its portfolio, he remains head of marketing while overseeing all creative aspects of the brands development.
