Biography

Kristian Håskjold is an award-winning Danish/Norwegian writer/director, who studied Directing at the independent Danish film school Super16. He is best known for his miniseries Chemo Brain, which had its international premiere Sundance Film Festival 2020 and received a Special Jury Recognition for Drama at SXSW 2020. It also received rave reviews in the Danish media and received nominations at all Danish award shows such as Danish Academy Awards (Robert Prisen), TV Prisen, Zulu Awards and Aarhus Series. His short films have been screened at 120+ festivals and won 20 awards. Forever Now won 12 awards, among them the Grand Jury Award for Best Narrative Short at SXSW in 2017. His short film A Worthy Man won 5 awards, there among the jury award for Best European Short Film at Leuven International Short Film Festival in 2018 and became shortlisted for European Film Awards 2019. His graduation film Young became a semi-finalist at Student Academy Awards 2021. All in all, his short films have more than 425.000 plays in Vimeo. In 2020 Kristian was selected to European Film Promotion's prestigious Future Frames talent program for his short film Crocodile Tears. At the moment Kristian is in early development of his first feature film and involved in several TV series in development.
