Paul Statman

  • Place of birth: England

Biography

Born, raised, and educated in England, at age seventeen Paul continued his life education and experience in Europe and the Middle East where he took on a broad range of roles including those of; dairyman, mechanic, handyman, puppeteer, bluegrass mandolinist, and chef - all while managing to maintain his identity as an actor in theatre and on network television. Following his return to England to sell life insurance by day, he escaped Blighty once again: this time to the Cote d'Azure (Monaco/Monte Carlo, and the French Riviera) to play mandolin in a bluegrass band. After settling in Los Angeles and starring in a musical comedy (Orpheus Gets Laid) he landed his first screen role in a film based on the life of the late, great guitarist and composer, Hank Garland. Among his US screen credits are CSI Las Vegas, NUMB3RS, and Supernatural. Paul continues his musical pursuits as the mandolin-picking leader of his own award-winning gypsy jazz quartet, The Statmen.
