Veronika Zemanova was born on April 14, 1975 in Ceske Budejovice, Czechoslovakia. At 18, in Prague, her ambitions were behind the camera, working as a photographer. Afterwards, she turned to nude modeling. Her original pseudonym was Eva, but due to a production error, her real name was accidentally published; at that point she dropped the pseudonym. Zemanova has appeared in a number of U.S. and U.K. pictorial publications (notably Playboy Special Editions and Mayfair). Zemanova married in the autumn of 2003 to a man who Zemanova said was "the first real guy who cared more about my brains and less about my breasts" and retired from modeling. She came out of retirement in 2007. In a 2003 Danni.com subscriber poll, she was voted the second most popular model from over 350 women behind only Danni Ashe herself. A low-budget British Independent film, Zemanovaload, about a man (played by Ed Byrne) obsessed with the model, was released in 2005.
