  1. The Red Baron is truly a fantastic film about not only Baron Von Richthofen but the life of the first aviators in World War One. The acting, the realistic scenes, and the thoughts behind the faces of Von Richthofen and his follow pilots show the realism of the Great First War. I am completely puzzled why this film has not been brought over to the “Allie” countries like the US to be shown to the public. Are American film makers, historians, and politicians afraid of the truth – that the First World War was really the falt of the Allies, not Germany! The Red Baron demonstrates that the man Richthofen was a noble aviator and hero for all generations. Perhaps, the Baron was really shot in the back by the Canadian infantry, and not from a bullet from Captain Roy Brown – think about it? How bad would it look for the Allies if these facts were prove today! Godspeed Baron Von Richthofen!

  2. Very good film, especially the computer generated flight and war scenes. Not a perfect film by any means, I could list a dozen faults, hokey dialog in places to start, but as this film sits in the genre of look-alikes, it is the latest of a long line of bad to failr, now far and above the reality and technology. The film story telling of a monumental wasted youth, not to mention the sheer butchery, the stress on civilians in the way of the war, is realistic while at the same time, brutaly honest. Currently, one is reminded ot the sujffering born by the Iraqy citizens. As for the lead female, if I had a nurse like that when I got my “war wounds” afraid I would have chronic self-inflicted wounds!!!

  3. The Red Baron was shot down by an Aussie machine gunner Sergeant Cedric Popkin who was aiming at the Baron’s engine. The fatal bullet hit the German in the chest. and passed diagonally from right to left through his chest. I hope they tell the true story one day.
