I watched this movie on HBO, and fell in love with it. I am a mother of an American Soldier and I face the fear each day that this could be my son or the friend of my son. This movie made me be thankful for my son and all the men and women in our military. What they do everyday and the sacrafices they are willing to make, it just made my heart fill with pride. Pride for my son and Pride for my country. For the family of lost soldiers my heart goes out to you. I thought this movie honored all of our fallen heros with such grace that you couldn’t watch it with out it touching your heart. It made me believe that our fallen are not forgotten. Thank you HBO!
This movie stays with me in my thoughts so often. It is so real and the actors, especially Kevin Bacon, are so centered that it is like being along on this trip with the acutal participants. You have honored Chance in such a lasting way. Thank you for bringing this to all of us to allow us to be a witness,too. From the child of a Marine Corps veteran who served on Guam, Bouganville and Iwo Jima. I feel he is honored as well.
