    @ why was this movie made: don’t make a big deal out of it: it’s a movie!!! How many movies are “true to anything”? There are many bad war movies, but they are still full of adventure, action etc. Don’t like it? Don’t watch it!
    Once you have a degree in history, you will give a different kind of opinion.
    In any case, muslims won’t like this movie anyway, because it is about helping the Jewish population.

    first mtv doesnt a true life on being a staten island girl, then they got videos on the web like my new haircut now this. this is great lol thank god im not a freakin stereotype guido lol. they should do a movie about the ghetto parts of staten instead of all the white neighborhoods. mafia flicks are so played.

    I seriously can’t believe they made this movie it has nothing to do with Staten Island! It has nothing to do with anything and no one should waste their time watching it. Can’t figure what Ethan Hawke was thinking!

    This movie capture the hearts and ambitions of many who live on SI (my family lives there) It even brings in local issues such as preservation and development. I view it as wonderful redemption story. Ethan Hawke was wonderful as was the deaf mute character. Thumbs up for this. Just saw on TV
