Synopsis:
Skills Like This follows Max Solomon (Spencer Berger) as he faces the awful truth – on the eve of his 25th birthday, no less – that he will never become the successful writer he has always dreamed of being. In a desperate attempt to establish his next artistic endeavor, he impulsively turns to crime – and pulls off a mind-boggling caper on his first try. Rejuvenated by the discovery of a hidden talent, he inspires his two best friends to embark on journeys of self-realization as well: shiftless Tommy (played by a scene-stealing Brian Phelan) finally finds the motivation he needs to enter the job market, while anxious Dave becomes obsessed with writing the perfect apology letter. Meanwhile, however, Max’s newfound career may be over before it has even begun, conflicting as it does with a chance for romance with Lucy – the attractive teller at the very bank he has just robbed.
