Synopsis
Following the death of his wife, Jack (Bob Hoskins—Mona Lisa, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?) is lost and alone. Hope arrives in the form of young Florrie, a soft-natured girl who moves in next door and delights in his long-neglected racing pigeon Ruby. When his glamorous French neighbour, Stephanie (Josiane Balasko—Trop belle pour toi) takes pity on him, Jack cannot help falling for her charms.
Encouraged by Stephanie, Jack helps a local hooligan to regain his confidence. However, when an innocent friendship is thrown into question and long-kept secrets are revealed, Jack’s life is thrown into turmoil once again.
